Does Scroll work in Safari and Chrome?
Yes. Scroll reads articles in Safari, Chrome, and Electron-based readers. Because it reads what's on screen rather than importing a URL, it works on essentially any page you can open in those browsers.
Can it skip the ads and navigation?
Yes. When you use Read Aloud, Scroll's low-cost text step picks out the article body and skips navigation, ads, and comment sections, so you hear the piece itself instead of the surrounding page furniture.
Can I listen to articles hands-free?
Yes. Read Aloud (Right ⇧) speaks the article body with a natural voice, so you can listen while cooking, commuting, or resting your eyes. Look mode instead explains and summarizes as you actively scroll.
Does it work on any website?
If the text is visible on screen, Scroll can read it — including pages behind a login you've already signed into. It extracts the text on-device, and Vision OCR covers anything that isn't selectable text.
